The karakas for different houses play an important role in strengthening the house.

The karakas are:

1st house: Sun

2nd house: Jupiter

Basics

Some basics:

1st house-brain-Jupiter and mercury get Digbala here. Jupiter is for Intelligence or Dhi Shakti, Mercury is the "articulation" of the intelligence.

In Jaimini sutras, it is mentioned that Jupiter in trines to Svamsa(authorship, but may not be able to speak that fluently in an assembly), however, venus and mercury can give that ability, though authorship abilities are lesser for these two.

Moon gives a good imagination to create prose.

2nd house: Vak, speech, eyes, eye deformities can be seen in 2nd house, but eye sight itself is not seen from 2nd house. It is seen from the 10th house. This is because 10th house is 9th from 2nd house and thus protects the 2nd house.

3rd house: Ears, however it does not rule hearing. Hearing comes from 11th house.

4th house: Heart, Mind(not be confused with Buddhi). The 4th house is the storage of emotions. Moon ruling love and Shukra ruling passion get digbala here

5th house: Belly, stomach, all digestive acids are generated here. Thus the 5th house helps in "digesting" the knowledge.

The natural 5th house is Leo, and the Lord Sun is the biggest digestor. The fifth house thus rules the ability to "discriminate" or "digest" knowledge.

Fifth and 9th lords

Why are 5th and 9th houses considered houses of Lakshmi?

Lakshmi- Vedic numerology number as per katapayadi system is "5"

Simha Rasi is the fifth Rasi in zodiac. Who is the lord of Simha rasi? It is Sun who represents Atma.

Atma is nothing but the individuated form of Paramatma. Thus it represents the spiritual energy of the Lord. Fifth from Fifth, that is Dhanus represents the material energy of the Lord.
 Thus Both the Kona Sthanas of the Zodiac represent the Energy that permeates the Universe. This is different from the Consciousness, which is Vishnu.
Without energy, there is no matter, and without Matter there is no Material.

Moksha as per Jyotish

As per Jamini sutras and Brihat parasara hora shastra, there are certain combinations listed for Moksha.

Most people take the combinations in Rasi chart.

That is incorrect. We have to look at them in navamsa chart.

For example, Ketu should be in 12th from Atmakaraka in Navamsa chart with benefics to guarantee Moksha.

Ketu in 4th and benefics from AK also guarantee Moksha.

AK in Meena Navamsa is also a good combination.

Arudha Padas and AK

Arudha padas of each house should be considered carefully from Arudha lagna, Lagna and Atmakaraka.

What is it that Atma is trying to reject, which arudha pada is it not really interested in.

For example, if A2 is in the 12th or 6th house from the Atmakaraka, then the atma maynot be really interested in wealth. It manifests as person have difficult relationship with wealth as well as family.

Afterall, Atmakaraka is the king of the horoscope!

Combinations for travelling

Lot of planets in chara rasis will give travel. Lagna lord in chara rasi/navamsa will give travel.

Moon in 10th house in dasamsa can give travel related profession like sales.

10th lord of dasamsa as well as 10th lord of rasi should be examined carefully.

If they are in chara rasis then predict travel.

7th house and 9th house are for travel. 7th lord and 12th lord if placed in chara rasis can give travel. If they are placed in fixed rasis but in 9th or 12th house can give travel for some important purpose like settlement abroad. It doesnot show constant travel.

Lord of 6th house

Lord of 6th house carries the message of the sins that we have committed. It is called as the house of roga/runa/shatru. In other words, Disease/debt/enemies are signified by the 6th house. Why is it that when 6th lord is placed in 2nd house, the enemies are destroyed?

In my earlier post i mentioned that the houses gained from original position shows energy depletion and the houses back to the original position shows energy gain.

Thus 6th lord in 2nd means that the bhagya or fortune(9 houses) is lost. What does the enemy gain (5 houses), some good karma maybe because of conceding defeat.

There is no greater victory than gracefully conceding defeat. Because in the eyes of God, there is no victor and no vanquished.

Lagna lords energy

Lagna lord wherever he is, carries some energy of the lagna. For example, if the lagna lord is in the 6th house, it is like sun in the 6th house, thus the enemies will be defeated. However, if the person is controlled and restrained due to other factors, the person will be service oriented and the malefic influence of the 6th house will come down.

What will the person gain by fighting? He will gain debt. This is because when lagna lord is in the 6th, the energy gained will be that of 8th house( 6th house to lagna). Thus the person may unnecessarily increase debt by fighting with others.

You lose from lagna to the house and gain from the house to the lagna.

Lagna lord in fifth- limited progeny, but good fortune(9 from 5th to lagna)

Let me talk about the relationship between chakras and astrology.

As we all know there are 7 important chakras, each associated with a hormonal gland in our body. Each chakra is related to a graha or a planet.

what is Intuition?

What is Intuition?
Does knowledge have a purpose? Yes, for sure it does.
Without knowledge many of our daily "routine" activities cannot be performed. For example, knowledge of the sun rise, sun set , helps to define time, and hence can be used to prepare watches. This helps a person to reach office on time, be at various places on time.

But is life all about routine activities? What about moments which are new, which erupt or come suddenly in life. New situations, people, places, what one can do then.

Many people use knowledge to encounter or deal with the situation, whereas the requirement is that of Intuition or heart center.

For example, you meet a German stranger in your city for the first time. The mind which is a very clever device, starts thinking, "Ok, now this guy is a german, so he must be very methodical, germans are very methodical, they are serious types, they dont love life etc etc" and all kinds of stereotypes start emerging before your eyes.

The point is that Knowledge is blind. It cannot "See". The brain has a purpose, knowledge has a purpose, but they are extremely limited. They are useful for routine mechanical activities. Now even writing this piece i have to use words, which i "learnt" in the past. That is IT.

IT however cannot provide any insight, insight comes from my heart, my knowing. I experience a certain thing and only i know how it is. I try to convey it, which is ofcourse knowledge but it is not useful to those who have "not experienced IT".

I say that fire burns. If i tell this to a child, who has probably never experienced fire, it doesnot really mean much to him. Being a child, he tries to "know it". Knowing is always of the present, it is experiential, and thus more revealing. Whereas, Knowledge is of the past. Knowledge works in most predictable and high probabilistic cases, but in random, non probabilistic events, it falls Short, way short of its target.

Again the reason is that Knowledge cannot see, Knowing does. Intuition is nothing but knowing an outcome without an effort, coming directly to the answer, it is not logical, it is not linear. It cuts through all clutter, and comes directly to the point of Flux.

Now if someone asks me a query, "Brother, when will i get a job?", my heart responds with an answer. Only Then do i proceed to the Horoscope to get more :"information" on this feeling that i have got.
The first thought, the feeling is nothing but intuition. It is a vibration , a reflection, pure and benign about the event, person. It is non judgemental, it is not at all seeking anything, it is not at all proving anything.,
Heart can see, Head cannot. Intuition is the "SEER", it can see the event directly, unambigiously. Every one of us has that ability to see, only thing is to open our hearts.

arudha chakra

Most south indian, especially the coastal andhra astrologers draw the Arudha chakra. Arudha chakra is as important as the rasi chart, as it gives us a true picture of a person. The karaka for arudha lagna is chandra, and Chandra is the reflector of the Atma. It has been said by some astrologers that Arudha is Maya or an illusion, which is incorrect. The manifested world with all its hues and colours is nothing but an arudha. All that we see with the naked eye, the physical, tangible objects and people are nothing but the arudhas.

The consciousness which drives the person is something which is intangible and cannot be percieved. Even the person himself might not about his real self, till the guru comes to his life and wakes him up from the slumber.

Sri Aurobindo a great indian scholar had remarked in "Supramental manifestation on earth" the following

" A man does not work according to his ideas, but rather his nature". People might have certain ideas about happenings and people around them. They might harbor many ideas, but when they actually start interacting with the world, they behave more according to their general nature and temperament.

The general nature, temperament can be known from Moon and also the Arudha lagna. Arudha lagna is nothing but a reflection of the true self, and thus together with moon can show the general behavior in the society.

Once mastered, predictions can be made based on Arudha chakra alone.

There are three levels of knowing or awarenes

In hope you are just hoping that God will answer your prayers

In Belief you somehow believe that God will answer your prayers,because of some past actions.

In Faith, you know that whether you are good, bad, ugly, deformed,criminal, saint, all your prayers will be answered. The reason is that you and HE are one and the same. He has created all the souls with the same powers that he has.
She has Given all the souls complete free will.

The Universe is a gigantic Xerox Machine, it is a great Machine which answers all our prayers, because we have to just ask for it. So when we worship we actually are either bringing in certain energies to us, or expelling certain energies. All the universe is made up of Pancha bhutas, or the Five elements

In Essence everything is same. Only the configuration is different.
Every person has 6+1 Chakras in his anatomy that control and regulate life.The higher chakras are used to percieve the world (Ajna chakra-eyes), Throat Chakra(hearing and breathing), etc. The lower chakras are used to digest food and excrete them,.All this is pretty scientific if one understands the human Body.Astrology helps us to correct our chakras, our system, the physical and mental Body. When Mars is too strong, then the person is of fiery temperament. It brings out lot of anger.

The worship or Prayer, or uttering of certain sounds, creates certain vibrations that "cool" the System called body, so that the Body reacts to anger in a cool manner.ALL WE THINK, TALK, and DO IS NOTHING BUT PRAYER.

Whenever you get thoughts of accident, or bad events of some close ones, just change it to Om Namah Shivaya, or if you are not eleiving in Hindu mantras, then think something good.The universe i am repeating is very innocent. It will only do as you wish. If you keep on thinking about negative things, even though you are not willing it to happen to you, but still such things would happen, as you are "THINKING ABOUT IT".

Thought is creative.

Thought is energy. So energy put in a place again and again will become mass. So the next time you get small cold, or scratch, dont think it was an Accident. THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS or COINCIDENCES IN UNVIERSE. There are no Miracles, Miracles we call, if we cant understand the Universe.

Thus dont give mantras, or recieve mantras from The Ignorant.

Brahma Vishnu Shiva

Brahma Visnhu And Shiva are not related to religion, when the names were invented . They were related to the phenomena that people observed. Religion was born after man was born, not before him. Religion is the practice of certain rituals and worshipping God. Now if the nature is called God what is wrong with that.

The only "mistake" made by man was probably the notion that God is angry, and hence we should please him.

GOD is SAT_CHIT_ANANDA. He is all in all, he is the creator and created
He is the truth, he is the knowledge, he is Bliss. He is the entire universe, all the atoms, and the space between Atoms

When he is all in all, what does he NEED?? He doesnot need anything, neither does he want anything These things were invented to make people worship him and bow to him. There is no need to bow to him, we all have to love him, because loving him, is loving yourself and everybody around you. He doesnot require this, but then if you love, your energies are directed in a smoother way.

Brahma is the seed or the creator. Brahma is just a name , you can also call it an IDEA. Vishnu is the sustainer, or the WORD. Hence Mercury is refered to as Vishnu. Shiva is the completion(Not destroyer), but the actual transformation from one state of being to another.

One may have an Idea about Internet, but how do you materialise it?
One have to put down your ideas on paper. This shouldbe articulated (mercury again). Next is to create a pilot project, and then test run it. This is action.These are the Pancha Tatwas (Or the five elements)

Consciousness-1

The primal sound AUM has for long captivated the seers and sadhakas alike. AUM is the energy that has manifested itself in all that we see, percieve and feel.

From a Jyotish point of view, AUM has a special meaning
It is well understood that A stands for creative principle, U stands for preservation and M stands for dissolution.

It is commonly understood that a planet in an anti principle house is termed as sad or fallen or in crude terms in an enemy house.
Jyotishi has to understand that there are no enemies, all enemies are within.
For clarity, let us call Own house as self, friend as similar or equi energies and Enemy as energies that are quite opposite to the energies of the concerned planet.

Mars represents the agni Tatwa and moves fast. It represents the determination to get things done. Saturn represents slow moving energies. Generally people have termed them as enemies, but if we stick to the scientific understanding or principles, then we experience that both are opposite energies and thus mars in saturn house, or saturn in martian houses are not really comfortable.
Then one may ask how Mars can get exalted in capricorn. We all know that mars can get his way, he is the Dynamite who can blow up mountains. the Saturniun houses represent that. Thus mars can be quite powerful here, as he gets a chance to prove his superiority over other weaklings of Zodiac.
